Every region has something special about them. In Vegas it’s the beautiful hotels and casinos, Egypt offers historical pyramids, and in my city Richmond, we are fortunate enough to have a beautiful village called Steveston.

Steveston is one of the hotspots people go to during the summer. It’s a very peaceful place to walk your dog, eat their famous fish and chips, and spend quality time with what nature has to offer. For all you historians out there, Steveston also has its very own museum to educate yourself about the history behind Steveston and how it’s linked to World War II! There are a variety of things you can do in Steveston, from food, to accommodations, and shopping boutiques!

Shopping is definitely something I enjoy doing during my spare time. Steveston offers many shopping boutiques for all ages. The boutique I visit most often is the Candy Dish store. It’s located in Moncton and no 1rd. They offer fudge in many flavours, and all types of candy! It’s a very colorful and cute little boutique. For women, there are many clothing boutiques. Even one that specializes in maternity clothes! And for men, usually men aren’t very big shoppers! So Steveston has got them covered, everyone knows food what men love, Steveston has got loads of those! As you tour around Steveston Village, you will see many little frozen yoghurt or gelato stands, Starbucks and Blenz for coffee lovers, and many, many different varieties of restaurants to satisfy your tummy!

If you’re a food lover like me, you would probably best come down to Steveston for their famous Pajo Fish & Chips. Everybody who is anybody has tried Pajo’s! They serve one of the greatest Fish and Chips and poutines in Richmond! They have two branches located in Steveston. The most popular one is residing by Steveston’s very own Garry Point Park! Garry Point is great for flying kites, and having a family picnic on its very large field. This is a seaside park that includes a fisherman’s memorial park, and a gravel pathway for pedestrians and cyclists! Garry Point Park is also located along the Fraser River, so it’s a great spot to go fishing! The best part about Steveston is that even by Garry Point Park, they have LOADS of parking space that is also free!

During Canada Day, Steveston hosts an annual Salmon Festival in celebration of our nation! This when everybody around Richmond comes down to Steveston to watch the annual Canada Day parade, eat their specialty salmons, and just bond and have a great time! It’s one of the biggest events of the year, where thousands of people gather and celebrate on behalf of our great nation!

There are many things about Steveston that you will surely love, if you have nothing to do on a beautiful sunny day, take a trip down to Steveston Village; it’ll be worth your while!

Lastly, I would like to thank Niagara Falls for sponsoring the Miss Teen Canada World’s second blog challenge prize!

Good post. This is good travel blogging. You should never start a post with a YouTube video embed though, for SEO reasons, FYI.
